Falling into homelessness means more than losing one’s belongings and a place to live. It can lead to a loss of self-confidence and hope for a better life.
That's why Freedom House provides far more than food and shelter. We help people overcome the very circumstances that led them to homelessness in the first place. And when we help those in need obtain and maintain the life skills and support they need to succeed, we're not only addressing the crisis of homelessness at its very core, we're providing a real opportunity for change.
The Conrad Center Serving breakfast and dinner to Richmond 's homeless and working-class poor since 1983 - we are not your average "soup kitchen". We serve respect and responsibility with every meal.
The Community Shelter Providing a stable environment where residents can begin to address the very issues that led to their homelessness and set goals for a better future.
Sean's Place Offering an advanced transitional housing program for self-sufficient individuals who are farther along in their recovery than those staying in transitional programs, but still require some guidance.
