FH
25th Anniversary

Freedom House first served meals to the homeless
and working poor on
June 23, 1983

Since that time, we have provided meals, shelter and other needed services with the support of the Richmond community. In recognition of our anniversary we have developed some simple and easy ways for you to make a difference in someone’s life.

Fill-A-Plate

Fill 25,000 Plates
Our goal is to fill 25,000 plates by June 23.  There are two ways to “Fill-A-Plate”.  A donation of $25 or #10 can of vegetables will fill eight plates.

Collect 25,000 rolls of toilet paper
Our goal is to collect 25,000 rolls of toilet paper.  At any given time Freedom House is providing shelter to 52 residents.  Donations of toilet paper ensure that more dollars go directly to help our clients receive needed services.

COLLECT TP

Collect 2,500 Bus cards
Between January 1 and June 23, 2008, our goal is to collect 2,500 bus cards. Each bus ride costs at least $1.25. Our residents rely on public transportation.
