APRIL 19, 2008 – JEFF MAJORS HOMELESS TOUR
Where: The Conrad Center, 1400 Oliver Hill Way
When: 12:30 to 1:30 pm
What: guests dining at the Conrad Center for this special lunch (provided Croaker Spot) will enjoy a special mid-day lunch and receive the Jeff Majors Homeless Tour blankets, in addition to other needed items collected from Radio One listeners.
MAY 2, 2008 - SPADES
Where: The Conrad Center, 1400 Oliver Hill Way
When: 7:30 pm (seating is limited, so get there early)
What: A play written and performed by fomerly homeless individuals from the Richmond area working with Daily Planet staff to put their lives back.

Where: Richmond International Raceway

What: various artists, both local and regional, will perform at this event. Check back soon for a list of scheduled performers for the event. JUNE 23, 2008 - ANNIVERSARY OF FIRST MEALS SERVED IN 1983
SEPTEMBER 13, 2008 – 43RD STREET FESTIVAL OF THE ARTS
Where: corner of Forest Hill Avenue and 43rd Street (near Forest Hill Park)
When: 10 am to 5 pm
What: This family-fun event showcases works by 65 selected regional artists and craftsmen. Also enjoy live music, festive food and special activities for children. The festival is free, but donations are taken to benefit Freedom House.
OCTOBER 21, 2008 - EMPTY BOWLS
Where: Ramsey Memorial United Methodist Church, 5900 Hull Street Road
When: 6pm & 7pm seatings
What: Hosting congregation provide the soup and drinks, and help staff the event. Local
professional potters and art students make and donate their works of art to Freedom
House. Guests arrive and pick a bowl of their choosing as a way to remember those in our
own community that face the issue of hunger.
Tickets: $15 per person (tickets go on sale at 43rd Street Festival of the Arts and are then
available through the hosting congregation)
