Supporting a Continuum of Care
Typically, people don't become homeless overnight. And, as a rule, getting back on one's feet takes time, too.
Freedom House offers programs that not only meet the immediate needs of those in crisis, but also helps the chronically homeless acquire the skills and support they need to become self-sufficient for the long run. Select a link below to begin learning more about our programs. |

| The Conrad Center |
|
Freedom House has been providing breakfast and dinner to Richmond 's homeless and working-class poor since 1983. We continue to serve meals five days a week to an average of 300 people daily. |

| The Community Shelter |
|
Our transitional housing program offers residents a stable environment where they may begin to address the very issues that led to homelessness in the first place. Residents work with case managers to set goals for employment; stabilize their financial situations; continue their recoveries; and reestablish family ties. |

| Sean's Place |
|
Sean's Place is an advanced transitional housing program. It's designed for individuals who are further along in their recovery but still require some guidance from a case manager. Residents are charged $300 per month for program fees (rent) and must save 15 percent of their gross monthly income while preparing for their final transition to independent living. |
